Rogue roofer 'steals thousands'

Two pensioners have had thousands of euros stolen by a rogue trader who promised to carry out work on their roofs and guttering, it has been reported.
This incident is a prime example of the reason why homeowners should only use trusted firms that provide roofing in Dublin, rather than unlicensed home callers.
According to News Shopper, the bogus caller told one pensioner that her guttering needed repairing but when she returned from the bank he stole her purse and fled.
The criminal targeted a second pensioner with a false claim that her roof needed repairing and he and an accomplice escorted the senior citizen to her bank so she could withdraw the cash, it was reported.
